Blue Jeans quilt
It has been a few days since my last post. Lots going on here for sure and raining cats and dogs right now.
But I did manage to finish up the blue jeans quilt made from recycled denim. I found the pattern from another post and you can check it out here: http://equilters.com/library/jeans/jeans_gallbaros.html
It was a lot of fun to do. I started it with my friend, Kathy when we visited her in Maggie Valley. My quilt has 100 squares (which started out as circles...lol) and we cut our template using a soup bowl, so it is about 7 inches across. The center fabrics are 4.5 inch squares.
This was a great way to use up those old jeans that either don't fit anymore or are worn out in the knees. And, it will be a great quilt to keep in our old car (36 Ford) to put on the ground for picnics, etc. Love how it turned out. I am showing you both sides of the quilt in the pictures.
Now it's time to get back to some totes and/or quilting one of the other ones I have going now.
Have a FAB weekend :-)
Teresa

love the colors!!! Did you take your sewing machine to Maggie Vally or was it hand pieced?
