Moving on

Time to move on to Christmas. This morning Zak was taking a few more pictures of ornaments as he was helping me place them on the tree.

I am still sewing like a little elf to get some of those Christmas orders filled. It is SEW nice to have sewing friends that keep me inspired and keep the creative juices flowing...thanks friends :-)

Have you marked your calendar for the Antique Alley Stroll a week from today? Debbie at Pink Florida Threads is busy working on some new and exciting things...you will want to be sure to check out her store. Her blog is temporarily down today, but check it out too http://threadsofmind.blogspot.com/
She has the cutest little Christmas tree as you walk in the store and has placed some of my little gift card purses on the tree for sale.

Very Thankful

Bryan watches a quick lesson and in no time, he was an expert bird carver. :-)

I think this was one of our best Thanksgiving holidays ever. The meal was great, and we have the greatest kids and grandkids. What more could we ask for?

Zak was thankful for food and family and Peyton was thankful for his Mommy....awwww. :-)
I am thankful for a wonderful husband. He never complains and is always supporting his family. Lucky me :-)

Happy Thanksgiving

This is the big week....Thanksgiving is only a few days away. On Friday, we were invited to the big FEAST at Peyton's school and this is his little head dress.

This week will go by so fast. We already have our turkey and have plans for a afternoon dinner. BUT, first order of the day...we will be putting down a couple pallets of sod...yes, you heard me right...LOL Doesn't every family put down sod on Thanksgiving day?...LOL When I told my daughter that she was helping us...she just looked at me funny. LOL

Have a few totes to try to fit into this hectic week...will post pics when I get them done. :-)

Happy Turkey day to all of you,

Fab weekend

Is it Sunday night already???? I am totally bushed, but had a FABULOUS weekend.

Michelle (dear daughter) and I went to the Hilltop Crop in Sarasota yesterday and got lots of really neat things done. Was so nice to see Linda, Michele, Kathy, Stacey, and Michelle and the other Sarasota gals. MMMM good...that Linda can cook some good chicken and mashed taters.

Today was the Antique Alley show in Bellair...what a nice show that is....lots of really nice people and loads of really cool things...especially at Pink Florida Threads. Debbie is so talented...and has some of the works of her very talented friends in her shop as well.

My plans for this week is to sew...of course.....a week without sewing is not a happy week for me...lol. I am making some really cute Christmas stockings...will post a picture soon.

Hope you had a good one.

Ta Ta Totes

This is my friend Debbie.
She was interviewed today by Channel 10 and the story can be seen on this link

http://www.tampabays10.com/news/watercooler/story.aspx?storyid=93056&catid=58

Debbie is opening her store in Bellair Bluffs.... PINK FLORIDA THREADS ...grand opening will be November 4th.
She will be featuring the Ta Ta bags as well as other handmade bags, aprons, pillows, jewelry, cards, tea towels, etc. If you live in the area...stop by to see her. If not, check out her website. You can link to it from the news story.

Good Luck Debbie

A week already?

I just realized it has been a week since I posted a blog...wow, time sure is flying by.
I had the best time this past weekend at the Hilltop Memories annual Creepover. Loads of fun, laughs, great food, and scrapbooking too. Linda does the best job and makes everyone feel so welcome and pampered the entire weekend.
One of the activities was a contest to decorate a mask and was judged by all present. Congrats to Michelle in Sarasota for the winning mask. This was my entry....I had a blast making it.....kind of reminded me of Bart Simpson...lol
I call it "Dr. Frank N. Stein".

Tomorrow will be a sewing day....gotta get back to it. I have taken too many days off lately and missing it badly.

Have a good one,
Teresa

Busy...busy...busy

And again I say...."I don't know how I ever had time to work".

Our Company left this morning and praying for their safe journey home. Was good to have Mom and Richard here for a few days as we enjoyed their company and they really pitched in to help in all the moving and mom even made us a few meals too...which was wonderful.

I helped my daughter move this past weekend and this old girl worked her BUTT off. Even though moving is a lot of work, it sure does help you get rid of a bunch of junk and also to clean...clean...clean. Maybe we should just move all our stuff out in the yard and only bring back in what we REALLY want....LOL.

I spent today trying to get myself back on track...laundry, pickup, cleanup...the usual.

Also made a trip to pick up my sewing machine. I told them that I will see them again in another 10 years....lol. As long as they can keep the old girl together, I will continue to sew on her. They just don't make machines like they used to.

Hoping to sew at least a few bags this week, but the week is slipping away from me. We have the Hilltop Crop this weekend...woo hoo...I am sure we will all have a Goulish good time. This will be my second Creepover.....had such a good time last year....really looking forward to it. :-)

Catch you later...

Black/White Kitties

So much going on right now.....
My sewing machine broke :-( Yes, I have another one, but I really like to sew on the "old girl". We have been sewing together for about 20 years. The old girl is a Pfaff and they just don't make them like her anymore.

I decided to turn my frustration into productivity and got acquainted with the Viking .....and put together this little Black/White Kitty bag.

Isn't it cute?

Love the blue and the yellow....Go Wolverines :-)

Linda requested a zipper in this one and I am sure this will be a fun way to show off her team spirit.

Happy Monday,

Teresa

Shoulder Bag

I finally found some of the polka dot fabric that I had been looking for for 9 months now....yippee.

Check out this stylish shoulder bag. The handles are faux leather with silver rings. Most of my bags have magnetic snap, but a customer requested a zipper for this one. She also requested the extra tie in honor of her FAVORITE team :-)

Inside has the key ring and also lots of roomy pockets.

Take care,
Teresa

Butterflies

I just finished up this Butterfly bag today and I just love it. It seems that I fall in love with each bag as it is completed and it becomes my new best favorite. :-)

Sure has been a busy week...can I say Gator bags, gator bags, gator bags. Those Gators sure are popular...but "it's all good" :-) I have filled all the orders for those and even have one to spare...do I hear a taker???

I guess you noticed all the dog bags that I have been making too???? My neice said, "does Aunt Teresa only make dog bags?" LOL No, Dana...I make lots and lots of others too :)

Can you believe that it is October already.....wow, time is just flying by.

Oh...oh....my grandson got a mohawk yesterday in honor of the Tampa Bay Rays game today. I suppose I feel the same way that Linda feels about them.....surely not my favorite haircut. But...it is just hair and it will grow out, and he is a cutie no matter what hairdo he has.

Have a great Thursday...only two more days until the Charity Crop with Hilltop Memories/KNK. I am sure it will be loads of fun...they always are.

Take care,
Teresa

Marvelous Monday

Happy Monday to all of you.

I am finally feeling pretty good. I came down with some kind of little bug last week and felt a little under the weather for several days and for those of you that know me well....I don't do sick very good....LOL. I get REAL grumpy....lol. I suppose it is because I have never been one to sit still. I always have to be doing something.

Today was a fairly productive day. I have several new totes started and finished up another Gator bag, still have 4 to go....lots of people out there LOVE their GATORS :-) I also finished this cute little brown/green doggie tote and have another almost finished...look for more pics in the next day or so.

I have teamed up with a dear friend of mine, Helen, who is very involved with the Small Paws Rescue and we will be making some cash donations as well as a bag that will be donated for an event in October.

Take care and make this Monday....MARVELOUS!!!!!!

Sewing again

It seems that I needed to take a week off from the sewing machine and "regroup". People always told me that when you retire, you seem to be so busy you can't imagine how you ever had time to work in the first place...LOL....yep, it's true!!!

Well, I am somewhat back on a schedule now and was able to finish up two bags this morning. One is for a dear friend and the brown/black one is looking for a home :-)

Back to the sewing machine...have so many projects that I am dreaming about....until next time.......

checking in

It's been a few days..sorry about that.

First of all, GREAT NEWS....my step-father had a heart procedure today and it went well....yippee.

I have spent the last couple of days trying to get things put away from the weekend and doing some things around the house. I finished up a couple totes that I started last week (that are orders) and also finished up a UFO (sewing people use that term for unfinished objects). Some of you remember the I SPY quilt that I posted a while back that I was working on...well...I finished it last night. I love the way it turned out. The grandkids are going to love to play I spy with this. It's kind of like looking for Waldo...they love to do that too.

I went to a weekend scrapbook event (Hoe Down) in Bonita Springs, Florida last weekend and had a BLAST. We surely were treated like the queens of the rodeo for sure. The classes were awesome and my partner for the weekend, Janie was a great companion as well.

I will be joining some of the ladies again on Saturday for a day of cropping in Sarasota....it's always great fun to spend the day (or weekend) with Hilltop ladies :-)

Time for some FOOTBALL

Here's hoping for a good season.....

Tuesday, September 2, 2008

another tote

From my design studio today, I have a special request by a friend, this bag was designed to hold a Bind-it-all (which is a desktop wire binding system used by scrapbookers and stampers) and especially the wires and tools that go along with it. The bag is 12 x 12 and 6 inches deep. It has front and back pockets and two end pockets. The inside divider is attached by velcro and added to seperate the boxes of wires form the machine. The divider can easily be removed if an open tote is desired.

I have a couple more projects planned for the week...just just hope that the week doesn't run out on me first.

Take care,

Teresa
